Sector research and reports

Many organisations research domestic, family and sexual violence. Their work shows us how big the problem is and how it affects people. This data gives us the evidence we need to prevent, respond to, and end gender-based violence.

It also helps us to:

  • Guide policy decisions
  • Make sure services match what people need
  • Know who is at risk
  • Raise awareness.

As a professional you can use research to improve how you respond and support people in safe and respectful ways. It can also help you to understand the effects and impacts that violence can have.

The research and data outlined below brings together some key Australian sources of information.
